Mutual dependence is as important in economical, industrial and commercial affairs as it is in politics, therefore, the world as it is today can be compared to a market in which the most valuable commodity is knowledge and a commodity, service or product produced and presented by knowledge, information and up-to-date technology is appealing and valuable for the producer, seller and consumer alike.
The language of science, is the common language among human begins and the field of knowledge is a broad and diverse environment in which educationalists, scientists, intellectuals, producers, traders and those active in the field of banking transactions come together and use every opportunity to learn, experience and expand human relations.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, by accurate understanding of facts in today's world and with considerable experience and credit has taken a giant leap in development of economical, industrial and social fields and by following the instructions written in the article 44 of the constitutional law to the letters, has significantly increased the participation of private sector, in a way that unnecessary governmental tenure in some positions has become quite obvious.
Deco 2009, in addition to demonstrate the capabilities of the private economical and industrial sector of Iran in holding a great international conference, also it is an opportunity for gathering the renowned members of furniture industry with the most important objectives being product quality improvement, expanding international economical and industrial relations, advancing the industry and finally sustainable industrial development.We thank the Lord for our achievements and are proud of our accomplishments from Deco 2008 to Deco 2009, which shall be noted. We, Iranians, are proud to be the vanguard of furniture industry from 3,000 years ago by designing, producing and decorating all kinds of beds, chairs and furniture, as evident in the embossments in our ancient works by the fine Persian artists and masons.
With these considerations, Iranian National Furniture Museum came to be. By earnest cooperation with Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, after determining a suitable place and obtaining necessary official certifications and by utilizing an organized administrative structure and providing exquisite antiquities, Iranian National Furniture Museum shall soon be ready to inaugurated, providing that the Cultural Heritage Organization continues this sincere cooperation.
In order to continue the glorious path of knowledge and science taken by the great nation of Iran which has delivered great scholars such as Khajeh Nassir Toosi, Sheykh Baha'ee and others to the humanity, TEFSO, The Entrepreneurial Society of Furniture Producers & Sellers of Tehran, as a private organization, succeeded for the first time to find the missing link in the lifecycle of this industry by concluding contracts with universities and higher education centers in the country and establishing connection between furniture industry and academic environment to train professionals in the fields of designing, producing and managing furniture industry, in a way that the first series of student will begin their education in the academic year of 2009-2010.
Establishing industrial clusters, free trade zones, special tourism zones and providing facilities for producers, industries and tourism, in addition to being a clear indication of the Islamic Republic of Iran capabilities and strong decision making and executive bases, have defined and determined our beloved country’s industrial and commercial levels on a global scale and have provided a valuable opportunity for the private section to have a successful participation in these fields. An example would be the Furniture Industrial Town, which has already finished official stage, and its construction shall soon be inaugurated.
Carrying out such worthy endeavors in a year that was overwhelmed by various economical and financial problems, with some even being unparalleled such as global financial crisis and bankruptcy of the many great banks and industries; truly is something to take pride in. TEFSO, The Entrepreneurial Society of Furniture Producers & Sellers of Tehran as an international society-industrial institution is proud to achieve such accomplishments despite of the hardships involved.
Consultations, numerous expert meetings, following the contents of the concluded protocols with the participants in Deco 2008, joint meetings of specialized furniture industry workgroups and continuing communication with all the participants during the pervious year, have provided the necessary background to held an international furniture and decoration conference entitled “ICF & DECO”, with an independent, international and modern essence while being pivoted on the Islamic Republic of Iran. I hope the global family of furniture industry which includes the entrepreneurs in Iran, neighbor countries and other countries throughout the world, by utilizing their full capabilities and capacities, would be able to open a new chapter in the lifetime of the furniture industry in a global scope. Of course, the permanent secretariat of the confederation will be located in Tehran and God’s willing, this confederation shall held Deco 2010 even more magnificent than Deco 2009.
